the streets is ill
about 3 years ago, i made the decision to leave western massachusetts to pursue creative endeavors in and around new york city. it was an incredibly difficult choice to make, as i was involved in an amazing (and very fulfilling) relationship with a woman that was on the path to becoming a doctor. we’d known each other since preschool and were thought to be destined to be together (get married, start a family etc…). this tough decision was made and now, 3 years on, i am working as a brand designer and performing with the ucb theater in nyc. she is living in boston, 5 months pregnant, and just got married. i wish her all of the happiness in the world and hold no grudge whatsoever. that being said: THANK FUCKING GOD I’M NOT AN EXPECTING DADDY AND/OR A NEWLYWED! i have never been happier in my life and will continue to improvise and write/perform sketches at the theatre here. basically, i am living out my dream. this is not to say that i haven’t experienced setbacks or even failure. because i have. but i just thought i’d share this little tidbit with the masses as inspiration to step outside of your comfort zone, and pursue those dreams. we all control our own destiny. with some hard work and determination anyone can turn dreams into reality. ok… bye.
